There is NOTHING in this world like a Tuscan morning. Something about the wide open expanses, the light, the birdsong. Dreamy. Your garden looks like a fairy tale setting! Thank you for sharing it.
Thanks so much for sharing your Bramasole garden with us. During your Zoom with our book club, we mentioned how much we enjoy your floral descriptions in your writing—naming the roses! How wonderful to have them illustrated. Thank you.
There is so much poetry in the spring! I loved a glimpse into yours. That pink spiral rose is a dream!
Lately I’ve been reading some old books by Bess Streeter Aldrich and one brought me to this poem “The Chinese Nightingale” by Vachel Lindsay with these lines:
What a joy to read and view, when I think of what Bramasole looked like when you first decided to buy the property and seeing it today, what an amazing job has been done of the home and the gardens.

Said the Chinese nightingale.

We have just had the most wonderful week in Tuscany and so I really enjoyed reading this. Your descriptions capture the wonder of Tuscany perfectly. If you have time, would be interested in your thoughts about my post about our time in Tuscany! https://tiredtravellers.substack.com/p/days-25-32-endless-possibility-under?r=5kmkyq
