Yes Paris is probably the best walking city in the world. And those pictures prove it. Thanks for taking me with you.

Paris for Rent (Haven in Paris)is a wonderful agency. Their properties are top notch as is their service. You pay more, but you get more. They have a wide range of properties in their portfolio and their agents know them all.

Rentals, be very careful. I’m in the business, I use Villas of Distinction in Italy. For apartments I’ve got a variety of resources world wide. But the golden rule, never ever rent from an individual owner that is not represented by an agency that will stand behind the rental. Costs more in the long run but worth it.

I wrote a blog post about my first Italy rental in 2001, it involves you!!! I’ll dig it out and post on Substack

I understand the Parisian government is cracking down on short-term rentals, encouraging travelers to book hotels instead. The surge in Air B&B - type units have made it difficult for residents to find long term rentals. For a few years we booked charming apartments all over Europe but, like you, have found them to have declined in quality as they’ve increased in quantity. I enjoyed reading about your brief stay; the photos make me yearn to be there once again.

Paris Perfect Rentals is 100 percent reliable and 100 percent guaranteed to please. It is on the expensive side but we have stayed in Paris many times at their Place Dauphine apartments and cooked in the beautiful kitchens, slept comfortably and luxuriated in well-appointed bathrooms. The apartments all have fantastic views. You can’t go wrong with Paris Perfect.

We have had good luck with Locke Living, an aparthotel chain geared to digital nomads. Full amenities in the apartments, air conditioning, excellent connectivity. The one in Paris in the Latin Quarter is beautiful and in a wonderful location. We got to know our local markets over our 10 day stay. There are multiple locations in London and the chain is expanding.https://www.lockeliving.com/en

I think that aparthotels are the future for city centers. A little more spendy than private rentals but so much more dependable and within Euro city center guidelines.

Beautiful. There are so many films built around one night, or two stolen days, in Paris — and maybe that's the secret: the shortness is what magnifies it. When you can't have it all, every chocolate tart, every green-framed window, every serendipitous little bistro becomes the whole trip. Your last night at Le P'tit Bistro sounds like exactly that kind of magic..

“Paris is always a good idea.” Katherine Hepburn . Looks like a lovely two days and the art work !! My favorite small hotel is Relais St. Germain it houses your restaurant you ate at, Le Comptior ? If I’m not mistaken. We’ve also had good luck with Paris for Rent for apartments in great locations. Air b and b. ?? I also recommend staying on any of the small hotels on the Isle de Cite my spelling may be off, I apologize.

Happy Summer from Minnesota 🌲🐟☮️

Y’all should spend a month in Paris, walking one arrondissement per day. Christina Henry De Tessa has published a deck of cards, titled “City Walks: Paris” that I used when I walked Paris. Some of my favorite finds were underground grocery stores, Julia Child’s favorite cooking store, and of course, some of the best street art in the world. Y’all would love it.

I'm sure!! Paris is endless. I must have been 20 times and still am a newcomer.

Frances, how delightful! I love restaurants where the bill comes in a book, like “The Library” in Westminster, which actually used to be a library. The book that your “addition” came in was by Comte Philippe de Ségur, I wonder any relation to my favorite childhood author, La Comtesse de Ségur? I so identified with her hapless heroine Sophie. As always, you have great tips for travelers. Never thought of Marriott Bonvoy for short rentals, good to know.

I had better luck with ParisPerfect for a months rental apartment. Photos on other sites are often deceiving, and while PP is not inexpensive, it allowed me a much better place to come back to during a chilly January stay. Loved every minute of being there.

A recommendation from another YouTube channel is B&B hotels. I think they are small & basic and maybe on the modern style.
